Without an account

You can browse the whole site and take the MaskFinder without an account and without giving any information. Here is what is still processed:

• Visit statistics: Plausible Analytics measures the audience anonymously, without cookies.
• Shopping region: Europe or United States is inferred from your browser's time zone, inside your browser. It is never sent, only remembered on your device if you change it.
• Review draft: a review you started is kept on your device, so you do not lose it when signing in.
• Feedback and contact: your message, the page you send it from and, if you give it, your email address so we can reply.
• Newsletter: your email address, only if you subscribe. One-click unsubscribe.

With an account

An account is used to publish reviews and earn points. We keep:

• Your email address, to sign in with a magic link or with Google. It is never shown.
• Your username, bio, favorite mask and machine and sleep position, if you fill them in.
• Your full name, only if you fill it in. It is never shown.
• Your reviews, with the profile details you choose to add: sleep position, breathing, beard, face shape, time on CPAP.
• Your points, rank and "helpful" votes.

A review is public

Publishing a review means publicly saying that you use CPAP therapy. Choose a username that does not identify you. If your profile is private, your reviews are signed "Community member".

Legal basis

Accounts, reviews and the newsletter rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time: by deleting a review, unsubscribing or asking us to delete your account. Anonymous statistics rely on our legitimate interest in measuring the site's audience.

Service providers

Your data is never sold or rented. It is only entrusted to the providers needed to run the site:

• Supabase: database and account authentication.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Plausible Analytics: anonymous visit statistics, hosted in the European Union.
• Anthropic: reads already published reviews to generate AI summaries. No email address or account data is sent to it.
• StudioManiak: design and hosting of the site.

Partner links

When you click a link to VivaRespire, the address contains parameters showing that the visit comes from CPAP Ranker and from which product page. No personal data is included. On VivaRespire's site, its own privacy policy applies.

Cookies

No tracking or advertising cookies. A session cookie is set only when you sign in, to keep you signed in. It is strictly necessary and therefore requires no consent.

Retention

Account data and reviews are kept as long as your account exists. Deleting your account also deletes your reviews, votes and points. Contact and feedback messages are kept for two years at most.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection. From your account, you can edit your profile and delete any of your reviews at any time. To get a copy of your data or delete your account, write to hello@cpapranker.com: we reply within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
