The AirFit N30i is documented as magnet-free with a QuietAir vent (14 dBA declared at one meter, versus 18 for the DreamWear). The AirFit N30i is a ResMed nasal mask with a silicone cushion that sits under the nose and a tube that connects at the top of the head. The SpringFit frame comes in two sizes and the cushion in four.

Philips' under-the-nose nasal mask
A nasal mask whose cushion sits just under the nostrils, without touching the bridge of the nose, with the tube connecting on top of the head. Philips offers four cushion sizes and three frame sizes, and declares 18 dBA at one meter.

Which one for you?
Rather the AirFit N30i if:
- Side or stomach sleepers
- A nasal bridge prone to marks
- Glasses wearers who read or watch TV in bed
Watch out for
- Not compatible with the ResMed AirMini.
- Nasal mask: if you breathe through your mouth, air escapes.
- Select the Pillows mask setting on ResMed devices; ResMed notes SmartStop may not work with some devices.
Rather the DreamWear Nasal if:
- Nose breathing, mouth closed
- Side, stomach or restless sleepers
- Nose bridge prone to red marks
Watch out for
- Nasal mask: if you breathe through your mouth, air escapes.
- Magnets: it is not part of Philips' 2022 recall of masks with magnets, but its technical sheet carries a magnetic interference warning. If you have an implant, ask Philips or your equipment provider to confirm.
- No quiet vent claimed by Philips (18 dBA declared at one meter).
